Biblical Leviathan personifies an aspect of creation that is beyond human comprehension or control. It is a creature of the Abyss, a self-propelled energy of Chaos.
This is a fact that does not indicate destruction but an authentic state of existence far from the orderliness of the conscious mind.
From very early on, the creature Leviathan was identified with the Morning Star that fell like lightning to what we now call Satan. In fact, the lightning strike disperses the odor of brimstone. Brimstone is an archaic term synonymous with sulfur which in Alchemy represent the middling element connecting Salt (the high) and Mercury (the low). The double cross above the infinity symbol is a sign first used in Alchemy for black mercuric sulphide or soufre noir (Nicolas le Febure, “Traite de la Chymie”, 1664). This same symbol will be used as an important decorative sign in “The Satanic Bible” (1969), by the founder of the Church of Satan, Anton Szandor LaVey (p. 25), causing it to be linked once and for all with Satanic iconography.
As it stands, it states the idea that humans are their own center and do not need any transcendental concept to ensure balance in the universe.

What does the Seal of Leviathan symbolize?
The so called “Seal of Leviathan” is the complex uniun of two diferent symbols. The double Cross is a traditional emblem of the Archangels, while the double Circle is a well-known symbol of infinity. Undoubtedly the emblem in question denotes an ouroboric variability from which emanates upward on the vertical axis of reference, the power of the waters – the Leviathan or the Unconscious, psychologically speaking. And as such, it is not surprising that this symbol has caused such intense reflection in Luciferian aesthetics as it expresses in the most graphic way the phallic urge of the inner abyss (see also the rise of Kundalini).
