In Liber XV, Aleister Crowley wrote that on the furnishing of the Temple of the Gnostic Mass, at the foot of the shrine or High Altar, there should be on each side a «pillar or obelisk, with counterchanges in black and white».
This phallic symbols are the pillars Jachin and Boaz at the Temple of Solomon according with the Freemasonic symbolic tradition. The black and white pillars of the Gnostic Mass are the yin and the yang, the opposites that together they represent equilibrium. Crowley describes the obelisks of the High Altar as «countercharges» because each one contains its own opposite within itself.
Our artistic workshop introduces three types of obelisks made specifically for any thelemic altar or shrine. These black and white pillars have Greek lettering for the words AGAPE (black obelisk) and THELEMA (white obelisk), as well as the blue triangle (the ascending tongue of prayer) and the red triangle (the descending tongue of grace) based on Crowley’s description of the Holy Hexagram in “The Book of Lies”.
The black and white pillars of the Gnostic Mass are made of excellent quality porcelain, and painted by hand.

Their size is 42 x 8 cm and they weigh 2.200 kg each. The obelisks come in pairs.
The base as well as the top of the pillars are decorated with gold leafs of 22k
