In Liber XV, Aleister Crowley wrote that during the Gnostic Mass of Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, the Priestess as she enters the Temple, is addressing to the Deacon and the people by saying «Greeting of Earth and Heaven».
This is a key point because it shows the symbolic indentity of the Priestess. As Sabazius explains in his book Mystery of Mystery (p. 38), the Priestess exhibits dual feminine aspects, corresponding to Babalon (Earth) and Nuit (Heaven), the Empress (Earth) and High Priestess (Heaven).
Thus, the artistic workshop LOGOS 373, inspired by ritualistic stoles of the 19th century introduces a complete vestment for the Priestess with the magnificence of the Wagnerian aesthetic which emphasizes the dramatic. Α luxurious garment, true to the text and the symbolism of the Gnostic Mass.
The text of Liber XV is clear – that she the Priestess, should clothed in white, blue and gold, while wraped around her waste should be a red girdle.
Our vestment includes three parts:
A WHITE TAU ROBE made by marocain fabric – a fine fabric used by the byzantine clergy for thousand of years – with satin details on neck and sleeves. On neck a button in gold so that during the Ritual, she can easily open it, and if she wishes, without effort she can take off the upper part.
Size of the white Robe as seen in the photos is 1.35cm (from neck to hem). We do customize the white Robe based on your measurements.
Α BLUE ROBE made by the finest fabric of blue velvet with golden orphreys of crosses within circles. The blue shows the night sky. The gold shows the light of the stars in the night sky of her body as Nuit. On the chest embroidered is the seven pointer star or Seal of Babalon. The Seal is red as scarlet is her color. And within it, is the Star according to the Book of the Law: «The Five Pointed Star, with a Circle in the Middle, & the circle is Red. My colour is black to the blind, but the blue & gold are seen of the seeing» (Ι: 60), for the Priestess is a reflection of Babalon who is a reflection of Nuit (Hriliu, p. 172). In the Old Comments, Crowley explains that the details for that specific Pentagram can been found on Liber NV. On verse 16, he suggest us to «Let the circle be of scarlet, the Pentagram black».
The front part of the Blue Robe is made in that way so that the Priestess could easely open it while she seats on the Altar. | One Size
Α RED GIRDLE made by the finest fabric of red velvet and embroidered with gold thread, has the symbols of the zodiac stating that the Pristesses as the infinate surrounds the whole of existence, while at the same time she is virgo intacta – note the Virgo sign in the center of the belt. | One Size
